We are recruiting a Senior Accounts Manager for a leading Top 35 accountancy and business advisory firm with ambitious growth plans across Central and Southern England. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional to join a highly regarded practice, managing a diverse client portfolio while playing a key leadership role within a growing Accounts team.

This opportunity is ideal for an established Accounts Manager looking to progress into a more senior leadership position, or an existing Senior Accounts Manager seeking greater responsibility, autonomy, and long-term career progression within a modern and forward-thinking firm.

The Role

As a Senior Accounts Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted adviser and primary point of contact while delivering a high standard of accounting, compliance, and business advisory services.

Working across a broad range of sectors, you will oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts, corporation tax computations, and business tax work for corporate entities, LLPs, partnerships, and owner-managed businesses. The portfolio also includes clients within the farming, agricultural, landed estate, and private client sectors, providing exposure to a wide variety of interesting businesses.

You will work closely with Partners to deliver outstanding client service, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed deadlines. The role also includes responsibility for workflow management, billing, resource planning, and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.

As a senior member of the team, you will provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to junior colleagues, helping to develop the next generation of accountants while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

About You

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified with at least five years' post-qualified experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.

You will have significant experience managing client portfolios, reviewing statutory accounts, and overseeing corporation tax compliance across a broad range of businesses.

Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP is essential, while previous experience working with farming businesses, landed estates, or agricultural clients would be highly advantageous.

You will be a confident communicator with excellent client management skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to build lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues.

Previous experience leading, mentoring, and developing junior team members is important, alongside the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
