We're recruiting a Private Client Tax Manager in Bristol on behalf of a highly respected and growing accountancy and business advisory firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client tax professional to join a specialist team, managing a high-quality portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, trusts and internationally connected clients.

The Role

You'll manage a varied portfolio of private clients, delivering a blend of tax compliance and advisory services while working closely with Partners and Directors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage a portfolio of HNW individuals, private clients and trusts
• Prepare and review personal tax returns and complex tax computations
• Advise on Income Tax, CGT, IHT and wider private client tax matters
• Support clients with UK residence and international tax issues
• Advise on overseas income, gains and investments
• Assist with cross-border tax planning and double tax relief claims
• Support advice on trusts, estates and succession planning
• Prepare technical reports and written tax advice
• Deal directly with clients, HMRC and professional advisers
• Identify tax planning and advisory opportunities
• Review work and provide guidance to junior team members
• Build strong, long-term client relationships

About You

You'll have strong experience in UK Private Client Tax gained within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.

You'll ideally have:

• CTA, ACA, ACCA or ATT qualified
• Strong personal tax compliance and advisory experience
• Experience advising HNW individuals, families and business owners
• Good technical knowledge of IHT, CGT and trusts
• Experience with international or cross-border tax matters advantageous
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
• Strong organisational and technical skills
• A proactive, commercial and client-focused approach
