We're recruiting a Personal Tax Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Inverness.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax Senior or Manager to manage a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, company directors, owner-managed businesses and more complex private clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients
- Prepare and review Self Assessment tax returns
- Prepare P11D forms, benefits in kind and PAYE Settlement Agreements
- Prepare Capital Gains Tax computations and UK Property CGT returns
- Advise clients on personal and partnership tax matters
- Deal directly with clients, HMRC and internal teams
- Assist with ad-hoc tax advisory projects
- Identify tax planning opportunities for clients
- Coach, review and support junior members of the team
- Ensure work is delivered accurately and within deadlines
About You
- ATT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Proven experience in a personal tax role within accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax, partnership tax and CGT
- Experience dealing with sole traders, directors and owner-managed businesses
- Knowledge of IHT, Income Tax and Corporation Tax advantageous
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members
- CCH experience preferred, although training can be provided
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Organised, accurate and commercially aware
