We are recruiting a Personal Tax Assistant Manager for a highly respected and growing accountancy and advisory firm based in Yeovil. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced personal tax professional to manage a varied portfolio of clients, support advisory projects, and continue progressing within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.

This role is ideal for an experienced Personal Tax Senior ready to step into management, or an existing Assistant Manager looking for broader exposure and clearer progression opportunities.

The Role

As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering personal tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, business owners, trusts, and high-net-worth clients.

You will support the delivery of advisory projects across areas including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts, and succession planning, while ensuring personal tax compliance work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Working closely with managers and senior leadership, you will build strong client relationships, maintain proactive communication, and provide practical and commercially focused tax advice.

The role will also involve reviewing the work of junior team members, supporting their development, and assisting with the management of workflow across the team.

This position offers exposure to a broad range of personal tax matters, providing excellent opportunities to strengthen both your technical expertise and client-facing skills.

About You

You will be ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified, or studying towards qualification, with previous personal tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or tax environment. You will have a strong understanding of personal tax compliance and advisory matters, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills.
