We are recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing and highly regarded Transaction Tax team within a leading professional services firm based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional to work on a wide variety of corporate transactions, supporting clients through acquisitions, disposals, MBOs, refinancing, reorganisations, and other strategic business events.

The Role
As a Corporate Tax Manager within the Transaction Tax team, you will play a key role in advising clients on the tax implications of a broad range of transactions and corporate restructuring projects.
The role will involve providing technical tax advice across mergers and acquisitions, exits, refinancing, debt and equity raising, and business reorganisations. You will also lead and support the delivery of tax due diligence assignments, helping clients identify risks and opportunities throughout the transaction lifecycle.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients and intermediaries, providing a high level of client service while identifying opportunities to deliver additional value-added advisory support.
Working closely with colleagues across Corporate Finance, VAT/Indirect Tax, Innovation Taxes, and Entrepreneurial Taxes teams, you will help deliver seamless and commercially focused solutions to clients across a wide variety of sectors.
Alongside client responsibilities, you will monitor changes in tax legislation, communicate technical developments internally and externally, and support the ongoing development of junior team members through coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback.

About You
You will be a highly experienced tax professional with previous experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or professional services environment.
Experience within transaction tax, corporate tax advisory, or private client tax advisory work is highly desirable. Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, restructuring, or broader transaction-related advisory work would be advantageous.
You will possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to positively influence clients and colleagues while delivering commercially focused advice.
CA and/or CTA qualification, or equivalent, is essential.
You will demonstrate a proactive and collaborative approach, strong technical capability, and the ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced advisory environment.
Previous experience of coaching or line management within an advisory setting would also be beneficial.
