Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager to join a highly regarded and expanding tax team within a leading professional services firm based in Newcastle. The Role
As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients while overseeing the work of Tax Seniors and Assistants across compliance and advisory projects.
The role will involve reviewing complex corporate tax computations and returns, supporting tax provisions, and managing the compliance process from planning through to submission. You will coordinate tax payments, capital allowances, group relief, loss relief claims, and other corporation tax matters while ensuring work is delivered accurately and efficiently.
You will provide high-level technical and tax planning advice to clients, working closely with senior managers and partners on a range of advisory projects and ad-hoc assignments. The position offers significant client-facing responsibility, requiring proactive communication and the ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
Alongside managing client work, you will maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of corporate tax and financial reporting requirements, monitor compliance processes using tax administration software, and ensure internal quality control procedures are adhered to.
You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across Audit, Accounts, and wider advisory teams to deliver an integrated and high-quality service to clients.

About You
You will be a highly experienced tax professional with previous experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or professional services environment.
Strong corporate tax technical knowledge and experience managing compliance and advisory work across a varied client portfolio are essential. Experience within one or more specialist areas including Owner-Managed Businesses, Transaction Taxes, Large Corporates, or International Tax would be advantageous.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to positively influence clients and colleagues while managing and developing junior team members.
CA and/or CTA qualification, or equivalent, is essential.
You will be proactive, commercially aware, and confident managing multiple assignments while maintaining high technical and professional standards.
