We’re recruiting a Corporate Tax Director in Worcester on behalf of a highly regarded and progressive firm of chartered accountants with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advisory services. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional to take on a senior leadership role within a growing and advisory-focused team.
The Role
As Corporate Tax Director, you will work closely with the Corporate Tax Partner to lead the delivery of complex corporate tax advisory projects, while also overseeing high-level compliance for large and sophisticated clients.
This is a predominantly advisory role, with work including:
- Corporate reorganisations
- Business sales and acquisitions
- EMI and share schemes
- EIS advice and investment structuring
- Valuations and strategic tax planning
- Loss relief and group structuring
- Transfer pricing
- Loan relationships and anti-hybrid rules
- Cross-border and international tax matters
You will act as a trusted adviser to clients, providing clear, commercially focused tax advice while building long-term relationships. You will also take ownership of key client engagements, acting as the main point of contact and liaising with HMRC and other stakeholders where required.
In addition, you will play a key leadership role within the team—reviewing and signing off corporation tax returns, mentoring junior staff, maintaining technical excellence, and supporting process improvement and risk management.
You will also contribute to business development activities, identifying new opportunities and supporting the continued growth of the firm.
About You
You will be an experienced corporate tax professional with a strong technical background and a proven track record in delivering complex advisory work within a professional services environment.
You’ll demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in UK corporate tax advisory
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of corporate tax matters
- Experience leading complex advisory projects and reviewing high-value compliance work
- The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders
- Experience mentoring and developing team members
- Strong commercial awareness and business development capability
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex advice clearly
