We're recruiting a Corporate Tax Director for a leading accountancy practice in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional to take a senior leadership role, managing a portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger corporate clients.

The role combines corporate tax compliance, advisory, client management, team leadership and business development, with genuine scope to influence the continued growth of the tax practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop key corporate client relationships
• Deliver corporate tax compliance and advisory services
• Lead and manage complex corporate tax assignments
• Review complex corporation tax computations and returns
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior tax professionals
• Work closely with Accounts and Audit Partners and Directors
• Liaise with HMRC and support clients through tax investigations
• Identify tax planning and advisory opportunities
• Manage WIP, billing and fee recovery
• Support business development, networking and presentations
• Develop technical materials and deliver tax training
• Keep up to date with UK corporate tax legislation

About You

• Significant corporate tax experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong compliance and advisory background
• Experience working with large corporates, SMEs and OMBs
• CTA qualified; ACA or ACCA also advantageous
• Strong UK corporation tax technical knowledge
• Experience managing and developing tax teams
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills
• Commercially minded with strong business development skills
• Confident dealing with HMRC and complex tax matters
• Proactive, organised and able to work under pressure
