We are recruiting a Corporate Finance Executive for a highly respected and growing accountancy and advisory firm based in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly ACA-qualified accountant to transition into the world of Corporate Finance, gaining hands-on exposure to transactions, strategic advisory work, and high-profile client projects within a supportive and ambitious team.
This role is ideal for someone currently working within accountancy practice who has recently qualified and is looking to broaden their experience beyond accounts and compliance work into a more commercial and advisory-focused environment.
The Role
As a Corporate Finance Executive, you will work closely with experienced Corporate Finance advisers across a broad range of transactional and strategic projects. You will gain exposure to business sales and acquisitions, company valuations, financial analysis and modelling, due diligence assignments, and wider commercial advisory work.
You will support clients through key business decisions, including succession planning and growth strategies, while developing strong technical and commercial knowledge within a highly collaborative environment.
The role will involve analysing financial information, preparing reports and presentations, supporting project delivery, and maintaining proactive communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will have the opportunity to build strong foundations within Corporate Finance while continuing to develop your professional and client-facing skills.
The position offers excellent exposure to a diverse client base and a wide variety of projects, providing strong long-term progression opportunities within a growing Corporate Finance team.
About You
You will be newly ACA qualified, with experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment. You will have strong technical accounting foundations, alongside a genuine interest in Corporate Finance, deals, and commercial advisory work.
Strong analytical skills, commercial curiosity, and the motivation to learn are essential. You will also possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative and ambitious team.
A proactive mindset, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively are also important.
