Competitive Salary + Leadership Opportunity
We are recruiting a Corporate & Transactions Tax Director for a highly respected and growing accountancy and business advisory firm based in Worcester. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional to join a thriving tax team and take a leading role in delivering complex advisory projects to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.
This role is ideal for an established Corporate Tax Director, Senior Manager, or Associate Director looking to further develop their leadership responsibilities while working on high-value advisory assignments within a progressive and ambitious firm.
The Role
As a Corporate & Transactions Tax Director, you will work closely with senior leadership to lead the delivery of complex corporate tax advisory projects while overseeing high-level compliance work for some of the firm's largest and most sophisticated clients.
The role is primarily advisory focused and will involve providing commercially driven tax advice across a broad range of corporate tax matters. You will advise clients on corporate reorganisations, business sales, share schemes including EMI, EIS investments, company valuations, and a variety of strategic tax planning projects.
You will also support clients with more complex corporate tax matters including loss relief, transfer pricing, loan relationships, anti-hybrid legislation, and international tax considerations as the firm's corporate and cross-border client base continues to expand.
Alongside technical delivery, you will act as a trusted adviser to clients, building strong relationships and serving as a key point of contact on advisory projects. You will review and oversee corporation tax compliance work for larger and more complex clients, ensuring the highest standards of technical accuracy and client service.
The role will also involve mentoring and developing junior team members, supporting quality control processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the wider growth strategy of the tax department.
In addition, you will support business development activities through networking, identifying new opportunities, and strengthening relationships across the firm's wider service lines.
This position offers significant exposure to complex and varied tax matters while providing the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future growth of a successful and expanding tax practice.
About You
You will be CTA qualified, ACA qualified, or hold an equivalent professional qualification, with significant corporate tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or professional services environment.
You will possess strong technical expertise across a broad range of UK corporate tax matters and have experience leading complex advisory assignments for owner-managed businesses, corporate groups, and larger organisations.
You will have a proven ability to build trusted client relationships, deliver commercially focused advice, and review high-value compliance work. Experience supporting and developing junior team members is also important, alongside a genuine interest in leadership and team development.
Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to identify opportunities to add value for clients are essential. You will be comfortable operating at a senior level and contributing to the continued growth and success of a dynamic tax team.
