We are recruiting an Audit Senior for a well-established and growing accountancy and business advisory firm based in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced audit professional to take ownership of audit assignments, lead audit teams, and continue progressing within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
This role is ideal for an Audit Senior looking to step into a leadership position, or an existing Audit Senior seeking broader exposure and clearer progression.
The Role
As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in delivering audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and senior leadership. You will lead audit fieldwork, oversee junior team members, and ensure assignments are completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
You will manage audits across a varied portfolio of clients, maintaining proactive and professional communication throughout the engagement process while building strong working relationships with client teams.
The role will involve reviewing the work of junior team members, providing mentoring and on-the-job coaching to support their development and improve overall team performance.
You will also assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, including group accounts and corporation tax computations, while continuing to strengthen your technical knowledge across audit, financial reporting, and taxation matters.
The role offers exposure to a wide range of sectors and clients, providing excellent opportunities to strengthen both your technical expertise and client-facing skills.
About You
You will be ACA or ACCA part-qualified, exam qualified, or already operating at Audit Senior level, with audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice. You will have a strong understanding of audit and accounting standards, excellent attention to detail, and confidence leading audit assignments and teams.
Strong communication skills, collaborative thinking, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage workloads effectively are essential. A willingness to continue developing your technical and professional knowledge is also important.
