A highly regarded accountancy firm with a strong presence in Oxford is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its expanding audit team. The Role

The Audit Senior will take responsibility for leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and supervising junior team members. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious auditor who is looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and growing practice.

Key Responsibilities

Leading audit engagements for a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors

Managing audit planning, fieldwork, and completion processes

Supervising and mentoring junior team members, providing feedback and on-the-job training

Reviewing work completed by junior staff to ensure technical accuracy and quality

Preparing draft financial statements and audit reports

Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact during assignments

Ensuring compliance with audit standards and internal procedures

Identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of audit processes

Candidate Profile

ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist, with significant experience in audit within an accountancy practice

Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles

Proven experience leading audits and supervising junior staff

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational abilities and the ability to manage multiple assignments

A proactive, solutions-focused approach

Experience using modern audit software and cloud-based systems is advantageous
