We're recruiting an experienced Audit Semi-Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton.
This is a great opportunity for an AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to develop their audit career. You'll gain hands-on experience across a varied client portfolio, take responsibility for fieldwork and support the development of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead audit fieldwork across a varied portfolio of clients
- Assist with audits from planning through to completion
- Prepare high-quality audit working papers and documentation
- Review financial information and identify potential audit issues
- Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
- Coach, support and review the work of junior team members
- Work closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners
- Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Develop your technical knowledge across accounting and auditing standards
About You
- AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified
- Previous experience within an audit or accountancy practice environment
- Good understanding of audit and accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
- Experience supporting or reviewing junior staff would be advantageous
- Proactive approach with a genuine ambition to develop your audit career
- Able to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
