We're recruiting an Audit Semi Senior for a growing accountancy practice in Peterborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with UK practice experience who is looking to develop their audit career and progress towards Audit Senior.
You'll gain hands-on experience across audit planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, testing and completion, working with a varied client portfolio across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and delivering statutory audit assignments
- Perform audit fieldwork, testing and analytical review
- Carry out risk assessments and assist with audit planning
- Prepare accurate audit working papers and documentation
- Review financial statements and accounting records
- Evaluate internal controls and business processes
- Liaise with clients to obtain audit evidence and resolve queries
- Support the preparation of draft financial statements and management letters
- Supervise and support audit trainees
- Monitor audit budgets and deadlines
- Ensure audit files are complete and ready for Senior or Manager review
- Keep up to date with UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
About You
- AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA
- Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice
- Good understanding of audit procedures and accounting standards
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicator with good client-facing ability
- Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Experience with audit software advantageous
- Professional, proactive and keen to develop
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
