We're recruiting an experienced Audit Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with strong audit experience to take ownership of a varied portfolio, lead complex assignments and develop key client relationships. You'll also play a central role in mentoring the wider audit team and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Lead complex audits across a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, resolving queries and providing commercial insight
• Review audit files and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Supervise, mentor and develop Audit Seniors, Semi-Seniors and trainees
• Manage budgets, workflow and deadlines to ensure efficient delivery
• Support Partners with technical matters and client development
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service
• Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the audit team

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Proven experience managing audits within an accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
• Excellent client management and relationship-building skills
• Experience leading and developing audit teams
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Confident working with Partners, clients and colleagues at all levels
• Proactive, ambitious and committed to delivering high-quality work
