We are recruiting an ambitious Audit Manager to join a highly successful and fast-growing Financial Services Audit team based in the City of London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and client-focused firm with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality audit and advisory services across a diverse portfolio of financial services businesses.
The team supports a broad range of clients, from scaling entrepreneurial businesses through to more complex UK and international organisations, offering excellent exposure to dynamic and fast-moving sectors.
This role is ideal for an experienced Audit Manager looking to take ownership of a significant portfolio while playing an active role in team development, client relationships, and wider business growth within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
As an Audit Manager, you will manage and deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion across a varied portfolio of financial services and technology clients.
You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships while ensuring audits are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to a consistently high standard.
The role will involve overseeing audit assignments, performing onsite manager reviews where required, and ensuring work is completed in line with UK auditing and accounting standards.
You will manage a client portfolio across audit, accounts, and tax services, while working closely with Partners and senior leadership across a broad range of assignments.
Alongside managing client engagements, you will take responsibility for planning jobs effectively to maximise productivity and resource management across the wider team.
You will directly line-manage a small team while working collaboratively across a wider audit function, providing coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to support ongoing development and performance.
The role will also involve exposure to advisory projects for financial services clients, including KPI benchmarking, strategic growth opportunities, and structuring advice.
In addition, you will support trainee development throughout their training contracts, assisting with technical and professional growth while helping maintain the firm’s strong collaborative culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager seeking strong client exposure, sector specialisation, and genuine progression opportunities within a growing and high-performing team.
About You
You will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with previous experience operating at Audit Manager level within a UK accountancy practice environment, ideally within a Top 20 or similar firm.
You will possess strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards alongside experience managing multiple audit assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience auditing financial services and/or technology clients would be highly desirable.
You will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Exposure to business development activity, or a strong desire to become involved in this area, would also be advantageous.
You will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of leading and encouraging others within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
