We're recruiting an Audit Assistant Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Solihull.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with strong audit and accounts experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
You'll manage audits from planning through to completion, build client relationships, supervise junior staff and work closely with Managers and Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage statutory audit assignments from planning to completion
- Act as a key client contact, handling queries and maintaining strong relationships
- Supervise, review and mentor junior audit staff
- Prepare budgets and monitor audit progress and profitability
- Manage time, resources and billing to ensure assignments remain on budget
- Ensure compliance with FRS, IFRS and auditing standards
- Identify audit issues and recommend practical solutions
- Liaise with Managers and Directors on complex assignments
- Contribute to the development of the wider audit team
About You
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Strong experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice
- Good knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS
- Strong understanding of audit risk, controls and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing client relationships
- Confident supervising and developing junior team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience with CCH and Inflo advantageous, but training provided
