We're recruiting an Accounts Senior for a leading accountancy practice in Bristol, working with a varied portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and corporate clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Senior or Practice Accountant looking for a varied role covering accounts preparation, tax, VAT, bookkeeping and advisory work, with strong opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts
- Prepare corporation tax and personal tax computations
- Prepare and review VAT returns
- Produce management accounts, forecasts and financial projections
- Complete bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
- Analyse financial information and provide commercial insight
- Manage client work against budgets and deadlines
- Build strong, long-term client relationships
- Liaise with HMRC and other professional advisers
- Support and supervise junior team members
About You
- AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or studying
- Previous accountancy practice experience
- Strong accounts preparation experience
- Good knowledge of UK accounts and tax
- Experience with VAT and bookkeeping
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, commercial and client-focused
