We're recruiting an Accounts Senior Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Inverness.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager or Senior Manager looking to take the next step in their career, managing a varied client portfolio while leading a team and providing proactive accounting and business advisory support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of accounts and business advisory clients
- Review and sign off statutory accounts and financial statements
- Provide accounting, commercial and business advisory support
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Identify opportunities to provide additional services
- Support business development, networking and new client proposals
- Lead, coach and develop junior and qualified team members
- Manage workflow, budgets, billing and deadlines
- Ensure assignments are delivered accurately and profitably
- Work closely with Partners and Directors on complex client matters
- Act as a trusted technical adviser to clients and colleagues
- Contribute to wider team and firm initiatives
About You
- ICAS, ACCA or equivalent qualified
- Significant accountancy practice experience
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts and business advisory
- Experience reviewing and signing off accounts
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proven client relationship and business development experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commercially aware and confident advising business owners
- Experience with Xero, Sage or Silverfin advantageous
- Proactive, professional and keen to progress
