We're recruiting an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Ipswich.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with previous practice experience who is looking to develop their technical skills and progress their career.
You'll work with a varied portfolio of SME clients, gaining exposure to accounts preparation, tax, VAT and advisory work while developing strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory and year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Prepare management accounts and financial information
- Assist with corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
- Prepare and review VAT returns
- Assist with bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
- Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
- Prepare high-quality accounts files for Manager and Director review
- Support senior team members with tax and advisory assignments
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
About You
- AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA
- Previous UK accountancy practice experience
- Strong accounts preparation experience
- Good understanding of UK accounting, tax and VAT
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
- Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Proactive, professional and keen to develop your career
