We're recruiting an Accounts Semi-Senior for a growing accountancy practice in Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with UK practice experience looking to develop their career across accounts, tax and advisory services.
You'll work with a varied portfolio of SME clients, gaining hands-on experience in statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax and VAT.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory and year-end accounts for partnerships, LLPs and limited companies
- Prepare tax computations and corporation tax returns
- Produce management accounts
- Prepare and review VAT returns
- Draft CT600 corporation tax returns
- Prepare client reports covering financial statements, business issues, systems and controls
- Liaise directly with clients and other stakeholders
- Support senior team members with wider accounts and tax advisory work
- Manage workloads and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work
About You
- AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified
- Previous UK accountancy practice experience
- Experience preparing accounts and tax computations
- Good understanding of VAT and corporation tax
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confident communicating with clients
- Professional, proactive and keen to develop
- Charity accounts experience advantageous, but not essential
