Job Summary
We are recruiting an Accounts & Audit Assistant Manager in London to manage audits and accounts across corporates, charities, schools, and solicitors. The role combines technical accounting, audit leadership, and client-facing responsibilities, with exposure to statutory accounts, tax computations, and advisory projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audits across multiple sectors: corporates, nonprofits, schools, and solicitors
- Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, reviewing work and providing technical guidance
- Prepare statutory accounts, consolidated group accounts, and CT600 tax returns
- Draft audit recommendations and close-out meeting agendas
- Maintain strong client relationships, often liaising at Partner/Director level
- Identify practice development opportunities and support business growth
- Motivate and develop the team while promoting efficient, high-quality work
About You
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or internationally recognised equivalent)
- Experience leading audits, ideally in corporate and nonprofit sectors
- Technically competent with FRS102, IFRS, and statutory accounts preparation
- Strong IT skills: Pro-audit, CCH Accounts Production, Xero, QuickBooks, Office 365 desirable
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and client-focused
